A group of die-hard Resident Evil fans are making their own RE-inspired game and it actually looks pretty good. However, there's some controversy regarding how and to whom the game will be made available for purchase/giveaway.

The key to Residence of Evil's continued survival is the distribution method. It's marketed as a not-for-profit release, however, there have been reports that it will be made available only to the YouTube channel's Patreon backers or that it will be a timed-exclusive.  These reports are currently unconfirmed so expect ROE to weigh in shortly, especially as the game has likely popped up on Capcom's radar.
