Resident Evil 2's remake was announced back in 2015 and we didn't get any news about the project until the game's final reveal at this year's E3 during the Sony press conference. Capcom's title instantly became one of the most crowd-pleasing announcements at the show, and basing just on the level of detail, it looks like Capcom puts more effort into remaking the original than actually making it.
The original
Resident Evil 2 featured two extended campaigns that provided different points of view to the core horror story. The game was directed by Hideki Kamiya and produced by Shinji Mikami, the helmer of the first
Resident Evil and
later
The Evil Within series, and developed by a team of 40–50 over 21 months. To show you the scope of the remake, Capcom has decided to leave the title as it is.
The latest
