Check out the spooky new Gamescom traielr for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard below.  For the annual gaming convention in Germany, the trailer was produced to mimmick the found footage movie genre and stylized with intenitonally blurry graphics to duplicate the video tapes that gamers will find as they explore.  As such, the trailer doesn't show actual gameplay and the final product will look very different.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard releases in January 2017 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, with PlayStation VR support available for brave PS4 owners. The demo is currently available to PS Plus subscribers on PS4.

Some longtime Resident Evil players aren't happy with the direction of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, as the new installment appears to be going the survival/hide route a la Five Nights At Freddy's instead of the traditional action-horror adventure style of typical RE games.

Something’s strange at the old plantation house – new “found footage” gameplay surfaces for Resident Evil 7 biohazard.

Fear comes home when Resident Evil 7 biohazard releases on PlayStation 4 (full gameplay experience also available via the included PlayStation VR Mode), Xbox One, and PC on January 24, 2017. Download the exclusive PlayStation Plus demo now for PS4!
