Sung Jinwoo's PS5 and Xbox debut has a clock on it.
Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive comes to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S tomorrow, Tuesday, November 3rd.
Netmarble locked in the date last Wednesday, October 28th, and as our sister site AnimeMojo reported, the game goes live everywhere at once. That's 7 p.m. ET, 5 p.m. MT and 4 p.m. PT on Tuesday, per Gematsu.
RPG Site has the two editions at $39.99 for the Standard Edition and $44.99 for the Deluxe Edition, the same prices as on PC. The Deluxe throws in an exclusive Sung Jinwoo costume, a Cha Hae-In emoji set and some extra in-game items. You can find it on the PlayStation Store and the Xbox store. No pre-order bonus or preload window has been announced for consoles.
The Solo Leveling game already on your phone is something else. That's Solo Leveling: Arise, Netmarble's free-to-play gacha game, out on phones and PC since May 2024, and it even crossed over with Fortnite back in February. Arise Overdrive costs $39.99 up front, comes from a different Netmarble Neo team and skips gacha entirely. Back in August 2025, development producer Kim Gwang Hoon explained that recruiting Hunters and crafting weapons don't come down to random pulls, and that the Hunters, Jinwoo and his gear "can be earned and enjoyed entirely through in-game play."
On Steam, PC players can add a $4.99 Jeju Island Raid Special Pack or pay $9.99 to bump up to Deluxe.
Planning to raid with friends? Co-op lets up to 4 players team up against the Commanders, but online play has the usual console strings attached. The PlayStation Store listing says you'll need PS Plus, and the Xbox listing says online console multiplayer requires Game Pass.
Jinwoo levels up through 8 job advancements on his skill tree, and the Monarch Awakening system hands him his Shadow Monarch powers. In a fight, you chain weapon combos, slip attacks with an Extreme Evasion dodge and parry to leave enemies open for a counterattack. Monster drops feed the forge, which is how gear like Kasaka's Venom Fang and the Demon King's Daggers ends up in your hands. The campaign follows Jinwoo's climb from the webtoon, with extra chapters that exist only in the game.
PC players have had it for almost a year now. Steam has it dated November 24th, 2025, and it's on Xbox PC too. As of this weekend the Steam page shows a Mostly Positive rating, with 75% of roughly 3,300 English reviews positive. Xbox Series X|S was slated for 2026 back when Netmarble first revealed the game, PS5 joined that 2026 window in August 2025, and Netmarble pointed to Q3 2026 in April. That window closed with no release, and Netmarble only named the date five days ago!
Over on the TV side, the anime has two seasons on Crunchyroll (January 2024 and January 2025). Netmarble also has another game, Solo Leveling: Karma, in development for PC and mobile.
Will you be logging in on PS5 or Xbox tomorrow night, or are you a PC Hunter who's already done? Does a $39.99 Solo Leveling game with no gacha sound like a better deal to you than the free-to-play one?
