Resident Evil 7: Biohazard has officially been released worldwide (save Japan, where it will hit retailer shelves on the 26th). For a little over two decades, playing the
Resident Evil games have been about as close as one could come to living out a real life horror movie.
For
Biohazard, Capcom decided to take that experience to the next level as the game will be the first "main" installment played entirely in the first-person perspective. Though gamers will have a new visual experience in
Biohazard, the game is a return to basics of sorts as developers have stated that players shouldn't expect a gun fight and that a great emphasis was placed on puzzle solving and resource management.
In another departure from series norms, quicktime events will be entirely absent.
