After officially announcing that the long-rumoured
Resident Evil 3 remake was, indeed, a reality, the developer has been sharing a lot of information about the upcoming survival-horror title; from slightly redesigns to Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira to giving information about gameplay mechanics themselves.
The latest, and juicy, bit of information comes from
Resident Evil 3 Producers Masao Kawada and Peter J. Fabiano — who have revealed, during a recent inteview with
Famitsu, that this upcoming title will feature rearranged elements in the same vein of the remake of
Resident Evil 2.
What's interesting about this is that the changes in the
Resident Evil 2 remake were almost imperceptible to players who hadn't played the original game in a while, but they were different enough to make it feel like a different experience for those who have replayed the original more than once.
Resident Evil 3 will also be
more action-oriented than Resident Evil 2, so these changes may actually fit the game's slightly renewed gameplay style. With all that said, the original
Resident Evil 3 was also slightly more action-oriented than its predecessor.
Resident Evil 3 comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC beginning April 3rd, 2020! Return to Raccoon City as Jill Valentine escapes an unstoppable pursuer in this re-imagining of the survival horror classic.
Resident Evil 3 is expected to release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on the 3rd of April in 2020.
