Sony's newest animated movie Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse has gained critical-acclaim and even brought home a Golden Globe award. The film obviously attained the "Best Animated Motion Picture" award.
Insomniac Games, who developed the PlayStation 4 exclusive Marvel’s Spider-Man video-game (which received similar acclaim), have taken to Twitter (@InsomniacGames) to congratulate Sony Animation for the win. “Congrats to our friends at Sony Pictures Animation on their Golden Globe win!”
The game has of course crossed over with the film on multiple occasions. Within Into The Spider-Verse itself you can spot the now iconic suit created by Insomniac which serves as Peter Parker's main attire throughout the video-game. A recent addition to Marvel's Spider-Man was a new suit which was directly based on Peter B. Parker's from Into The Spider-Verse - it carrying over the recognisable art style.
