As players know since last year, Miles Morales appears in Spider-Man, the new Marvel hero game. The players who have enjoyed the title already know that Morales finally has a role with some relevance in the story, but this was about to happen.
Bryan Intihar, creative director of the game, has explained to GameSpot in a video you can see below, that initially Morales was going to appear only in a small scene after the credits of the game. However, as the story progressed, the team decided that they should give him a bigger role.
"He was not going to have a big role, it was just a preview, and when I started creating the story, he would appear after the credits. In the original plan, he would see the events from his computer and someone would call him by his name or something like that," Intihar explains.
"I had been reading Miles Morales' comics for years and then I told myself that I should read them again. I began to immerse myself more and more in the character and thought about whether there was any way to take advantage of him, and we talked a lot about making this a unique universe. Familiar but fresh. Known, but altering things."
The executive producer approved the proposed changes and Morales got more weight in the game.
