Anyone familiar with Hideki Kamiya knows that the
Devil May Cry,
Okami and
Resident Evil creator, amongst other franchises, likes to speak his mind on social media. And lately, he has been hinting a lot at a
Devil May Cry remake. The series has been on hiatus for quite a long time, being
Devil May Cry 4 the last game released almost a decade ago and without Hideki Kamiya as the designer as he was no longer working for Capcom. Now that
Devil May Cry has been getting
a fair share of attention lately, this may be the perfect time for Capcom to step up and get Kamiya back to working on a
Devil May Cry title.
Since leaving Capcom, Kamiya has been involved in the creation of new IPs like Platinum Games'
Bayonetta, which is pretty much a spiritual successor to
Devil May Cry, and
The Wonderful 101. But that doesn't stop him from wanting to go back to his roots and wish for a remake of the original
Devil May Cry game as he has been
hinting on Twitter since January. Although this is far from being a confirmed title, it's nice to see he still wants to be involved with the franchise he started. Take these tweets with a grain of salt, though.
