Overkill’s The Walking Dead, players have a chance to witness the fall of humanity from the perspective of Aidan, Maya, Grant and Heather, four ordinary people brought together by necessity and the willingness to do whatever it takes to see another day in a zombified world. Unfortunately, the press and players seem to ignore the co-op title, as the game's initial sales are disappointing, so far.
"
We will not be able to recognize the license fee from 505 Games for Overkill’s The Walking Dead as revenue until after the end of the fourth quarter, while initial sales revenues from the game are lower than expected," Starbreeze CFO Sebastian Ahlskog said in a special press release. "
This will have negative impact on fourth-quarter earnings, but our target of positive EBITDA for Q4 stands."
According to Starbreeze, a license fee of $10 million from 505 Games for the console version of the game won’t be able to be recognized as revenue until after the end of the current quarter. While
Overkill's TWD is not a bestseller yet, there are some good news, as a higher than expected sales happened in China and Russia, allowing the studio to support their product for quite some time.

Season 2 will start soon, bringing new missions, expeditions, weapons, and characters. Content will be released regularly after launch, with more detail to follow with each update.
The Walking Dead is now available on Steam for $59.99, as the PS4 and Xbox One ports have been pushed back to February.
OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is a four player co-op action FPS, where you and your friends fight the dead as well as the living. Set in The Walking Dead Universe, you and your group tries to survive in a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C. Each character has their own Special Abilities, Skill Trees, Squad Roles, Play Styles and Story Arcs, but teamwork is paramount. The action is close-up and intense: take out enemies carefully with silent melee attack or go in guns blazing with your choice of each class firearms. You need to be able to improvise as nothing is certain and a horde of walkers is always right around the corner.
Overkill's The Walking Dead is available on PC NOW, as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions have been pushed back to February.
