The press hasn't fallen in love with
Overkill's The Walking Dead yet, as the current build of the zombie title receives rather mixed reviews, currently sitting at a mediocre 53% Metacritic score. To promote the title, Starbreeze Studios, Skybound Entertainment and 505 Games recently launched a series of short videos that spotlights the weapons, locations, gameplay mechanics, and finally enemies of
TWD.
The
Enemies in The Walking Dead video focuses on, as you've probably guessed, the hungry zombie hordes you'll encounter during your
TWD playthrough. While you should never underestimate a hungry zombie army, Overkill reminds you that they are not necessarily the game's main threat, as you will also face The Family, a generic group of local bandits who will do everything they can do survive.
In
Overkill’s The Walking Dead, players have a chance to witness the fall of humanity from the perspective of Aidan, Maya, Grant and Heather, four ordinary people brought together by necessity and the willingness to do whatever it takes to see another day in a zombified world.
The Walking Dead is out now on Steam for £46.49/€49.99/$59.99, and you can check out the latest trailer down below:
OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is a four player co-op action FPS, where you and your friends fight the dead as well as the living. Set in The Walking Dead Universe, you and your group tries to survive in a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C. Each character has their own Special Abilities, Skill Trees, Squad Roles, Play Styles and Story Arcs, but teamwork is paramount. The action is close-up and intense: take out enemies carefully with silent melee attack or go in guns blazing with your choice of each class firearms. You need to be able to improvise as nothing is certain and a horde of walkers is always right around the corner.
Overkill's The Walking Dead is available on PC NOW, as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions have been pushed back to February.
