Given the episodic nature of Telltale's
The Walking Dead, the series is traditionally released digitally. However, the developer announced today that a retail season pass disc for
The Final Season will be available on November 6 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The retail season pass disc serves as a hybrid between a physical release and a digital release. It contains the first two episodes of
The Final Season on the disc and will allow users to download the final two episodes
as they become available. Episode one,
Done Running, was released in August, while episode two,
Suffer the Children, releases later this month on September 25. Episode four,
Broken Toys, will launch November 6, followed by
Take Us Back, the final episode in the Telltale series, on December 18.
The Final Season's season pass disc will be available online and at retailers starting November 6 for $29.99 in the following regions: the United States, Canada, Latin America, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Benelux, and Australia. Telltale says a Nintendo Switch physical version will be available at a later date.
Clementine, now a fierce and capable survivor, has reached the final chapter in her journey. After years on the road facing threats both living and dead, a secluded school might finally be her chance for a home. But protecting it will mean sacrifice. Clem must build a life and become a leader while still watching over AJ, an orphaned boy and the closest thing to family she has left. In this gripping, emotional final season, you will define your relationships, fight the undead, and determine how Clementine's story ends.
