Wednesday's launch trailer for the PC version of OVERKILL's
The Walking Dead seemed a bit short as it was only 15 seconds long. Starbreeze Studios, Skybound Entertainment and 505 Games have decided to finally release the full cinematic trailer for the cooperative shooter, featuring Aidan, Maya, Grant and Heather's heroic battle against the greatest threat in a zombiefied world - humans.
As you can guess, the shooter is strongly inspired by the rich universe of Robert Kirkman’s original graphic novels. The apocalypse has started, at least on PC, as
The Walking Dead is now available on Steam for £46.49/€49.99/$59.99, which may seem like a lot, considering that the game doesn't offer a lot of content. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One port of the FPS have been pushed back to February.
The Walking Dead game was announced back in 2015 as a new child of the Starbreeze cooperation with OVERKILL, that gave us two
Payday games. The fans of
Rainbow Six: Siege and
Left 4 Dead should definitely keep an eye on
The Walking Dead, and it will be interesting to see if the game survives direct confrontation with Saber Interactive's
World War Z. Check out the game’s launch trailers below:
OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is a four player co-op action FPS, where you and your friends fight the dead as well as the living. Set in The Walking Dead Universe, you and your group tries to survive in a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C. Each character has their own Special Abilities, Skill Trees, Squad Roles, Play Styles and Story Arcs, but teamwork is paramount. The action is close-up and intense: take out enemies carefully with silent melee attack or go in guns blazing with your choice of each class firearms. You need to be able to improvise as nothing is certain and a horde of walkers is always right around the corner.
Overkill's The Walking Dead is available on PC NOW, as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions have been pushed back to February.
