Earlier today, it was revealed that Ubisoft are planning to adapt many of their popular franchises into animated shows. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon will be turned into Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Vibe and developed by an executive producer of Netflix's Castlevania series — find out more on that here.

One of the popular Ubisoft properties which is set for an animated series adaptation is Watch Dogs. However, it's not in a way that anyone would've expected. Rather than anything reminiscent of the open-world game series, Ubisoft are working on an animated series for young teenagers with a colourful and upbeat aesthetic.

While the show is currently untitled, it's described as a "cybermystery," in the announcement article by The Hollywood Reporter. The report also came with a piece of concept art which shows off exactly how disparate the series is from its source material.
