Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has been a massive hit amongst fans of the long-running
Dragon Ball series created by Akira Toriyama, as it has given players the chance to relive every single one of some of the most iconic moments from the iconic series — by playing as the titular carachters, no less.
Both players and video game critics have praised the game for giving them the ultimate
Dragon Ball Z experience, and this has made the word about
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot being a phenomenal game spread; encouraging those who may have had doubts to finally make a decision and purchase the game.
NPD Group Analyst Mat Piscatella has recently revealed that
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has already managed to become January's best-selling title. As if that wasn't enough, Piscatella also reveals that the game's launch month sales were the third highest in the
Dragon Ball franchise's history.
Piscatella doesn't reveal how many copies the game managed to sell, as he's only including dollar sales — although we do know that, within its first week since release,
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot had already sold a whopping 1.5 million units.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, as revealed by Piscatella, is only trailing behind
Dragon Ball FighterZ and
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai when it comes to sales during launch month; quite the feat, too, considering that
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot launched mid-January and still managed to become the month's best-selling title.
Relive the thrilling story of Kakarot, the legendary Saiyan better known as Goku, in the all-new Action-RPG DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT, coming early 2020. DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT will include English and Japanese voice-over along with subtitles in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish, as well as Russian, Polish and Arabic.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC(digital).
