A remastered version of BioWare's critically acclaimed Mass Effect Trilogy has recently popped up on Portuguese retailer GamingReplay, although it has since been removed. While the game was delisted, however, keen-eyed users were able to take a screenshot of the now-removed product.
According to the information posted on the retailer's website, Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered is being developed for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. Unfortunately, not much information has been revealed about this alleged remaster.
The first title in the Mass Effect series was released in 2007, while Mass Effect 3 was finally released in 2012; this very same year, BioWare also announced Mass Effect Trilogy for the first time — which was also the first time the original Mass Effect became available for the PlayStation 3.
Mass Effect 3 was also the only game in the series to be released on a Nintendo console(the commercial flop that was the Wii U), so it will be nice to finally see all of the series being released on a Nintendo console; if the information that showed up on GamingReplay is to be believed, of course.
BioWare has yet to make the announcement official, so it is still best to take this news with a pinch of salt. If the information is legitimate, however, this is great news for fans of the critically acclaimed military science fiction series — especially Nintendo fans who will not only get the chance to play the series from beginning to end, but also play it on the go.
UPDATE: Thanks to the people over at The Sixth Axis, we also have new information about this alleged collection. According to this information, also gathered from GaminReplay before it was taken down, Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered will apparently release in October, so we should expect official news about this game rather sooner than later.
