New Super Lucky's Tale was probably the least expected title to be revealed for the Nintendo Switch during this past E3, and the reason is simple; it's a game that was initially announced and released as an exclusive Microsoft title for PC and Xbox One.
Developer Playful, however, is remastering the original
Super Lucky's Tale, so the new game is actually a different version that looks somewhat different — and better, even — on the Nintendo Switch despite of the hardware's limitations; in comparison to the Xbox One, of course.
While we have seen a bunch of trailers that the developers have released for the Nintendo Switch version of the game, we have yet to see it in action in order to properly judge how the game performs on the handheld hybrid console.
Today, Playful released a new video for
New Super Lucky's Tale, which has finally given us a good look at the game running on the Nintendo Switch — more specifically in handheld mode — and the game seems to run very smoothly, but don't take my word for it and be sure to check out the video down below.
New Super Lucky's Tale is a vibrant 3D adventure platformer that follows Lucky, the ever optimistic and lovable hero, on a quest to find his inner strength and save the world. New Super Lucky's Tale will be available for the Nintendo Switch on the 8th of November.
