An Early Copy Of NO MAN's SKY Sold On Ebay For $1,300

An eager gamer purchased an advance review copy of No Man's Sky on eBay and began posting screenshots before Hello Games unleashed its lawyers. This is probably the worst case scenario for an independent developer that's one week out from launch.

No Man's Sky is only a week away from launch but there are advance review copies floating around and details from the game are being leaked though Cease & Desist orders from developer Hello Games are flying around just as fast.  However, forums like  GAF and Reddit have become a safe zone for those eager for spoilers.  However, the biggest cause of concern stems from a Redditor user named Daymeeuhn  who is reporting that his copy (that he paid nearly $1,300 for) crashed several times.  Whether this is just a sypmtom of his review copy remains to be seen.  Although Hello Games has previously reported that they are working on an update so perhaps that will address some of the issues Daymeeuhn expierenced in his game.

Redditor disc_, sums has made this handy chart which currently conveys the seven stages of grief those who were highly anticipating the game are currently experiencing.

But this all sidetracks from the important question of why someone would pay $1,300 just to play a video game with a sticker price of $60, just one week before launch?
