During today's PlayStation State of Play presentation, Sony Interactive Entertainment made quite a few announcements for upcoming video games. Among the games that stood out, we find
AWAY: The Survival Series; a game with quite an interesting and unique concept.
AWAY: The Survival Series is a game that has been inspired by nature documentaries, as the trailer very clearly shows, that will see players taking control of a Sugar Glider as they try to survive in the wilderness.
The game is developed by Breaking Walls — an independent studio based in Montréal that has worked on other renowned franchises like
Assassin's Creed,
Prince of Persia, and even
Far Cry — who have brought life to the beautiful open world seen in
AWAY: The Survival Series.
Another interesting aspect about
AWAY: The Survival Series is that developer has teamed up with Mike Raznick to compose the music for the game; a composer who has previously written the music for acclaimed nature documentaries like BBC Earth's
Life and Netflix's
Planet Earth II.
AWAY: The Survival Series still doesn't have an official release date but, in the meantime, be sure to check out the gorgeous-looking trailer for the game, down below:
Inspired by nature documentaries, AWAY: The Survival Series is a 3rd-person adventure game that takes you on the Sugar Glider's breathtaking journey into the wild. As cataclysmic storms bear down on the planet, immerse yourself in nature and explore a vibrant world brimming with life, but beware of the dangers that lie ahead...
AWAY: The Survival Series will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Steam soon.
