During this year's E3, Frogwares revealed that they would be bringing The Sinking City — their adventure game based on the novels by H.P. Lovecraft — to the Nintendo Switch; giving players the chance to experience the game at home or on-the-go.

Perhaps the only downisde is the fact that Frogwares confirmed that, due to time constraints and distribution logistics, The Sinking City for the Nintendo Switch would not be getting a physical release — which is something that some players may find somewhat disappointing.

Today, as the game finally releases on the Nintendo Switch eShop, Frogwares has released a disturbing new trailer to celebrate to get players excited for The Sinking City; setting the mood for this new adventure that takes players to the secluded fishing town of Oakmont, Massachussetts.

Check it out:

The Sinking City is a game of investigation and mystery taking place in a fictional open world inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. The player steps into the shoes of a 1920s private investigator who finds himself in the city of Oakmont Massachusetts, New England. A city suffering from unprecedented floods of clearly supernatural origins, a city trembling on the brink of madness.

The Sinking City is available for the Nintendo Switch today.
