Releasing back in September 2019, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is the latest instalment in the popular first-person shooter video game series. It's available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. If you haven't gotten around to getting your hands on a copy yet; Activision and Infinity Ward have organised a treat for you.
From now until Monday, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer is available to play for free (via @CallofDuty). Of course, on top of this, Call of Duty: Warzone is always available to play for free. It's through the free-to-play Call of Duty: Warzone app that you can participate in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare "Multiplayer Free Access Weekend."
Any progress you make during the free-to-play weekend will carry over into the main game should you subsequently choose to properly purchase a copy. That includes purchased items, player rank, weapon ranks, Battle Pass progression, and eveything else.
Specifically, the five following maps will be available to those partaking in the Free Access Weekend: Talsik Backlot, Hovec Sawmill, Shoot House, Khandor Hideout, and Aniyah Incursion. The free-to-play weekend will officially come to an end at 10 am PT on April 27th. So, it's best to act fast in order to make the most of it!
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone are both out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
