Earlier this week, Infinity Ward and Activision officially announced the third season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's post-launch content. Also applicable to Call of Duty: Warzone; Season 3 will kick off on Wednesday, April 8th — find out more on that here.
Season 3 will introduce a multitude of new content includes operators, weapons, maps, and a fresh Battle Pass. The other day, we found out that one of the upcoming maps will be a remake of the multiplayer map from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare called "Backlot". More recently, dataminers were able to uncover information and images pertaining to another upcoming map.
"Village" appears to be just what it says on the tin. We have both the loading screen image and the birds-eye view map. Based on the latter, it seems "Village" will be a relatively average-sized map — that is to say it's not one for Ground War.
Despite speculation that was sparked upon discovering a map called "Village" within Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's game files; the map seems to have nothing to do with the multiplayer map of the same name that featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Before images were found, it was thought that the upcoming map would be a remake of that one — alas that isn't the case.
