The Czech studio responsible for three critically acclaimed Samorost games, Machinarium, and Chcuhel has announced a brand title - Creaks. The upcoming game is a 2D platformer, something we haven't seen from Amanita Design yet, as their previous titles were point-and-click games. Creaks is being created my a new team that didn't participate in the creation of Amanita's previous games.

Thankfully, the first teaser trailer for Creaks clearly shares the same DNA as the rest of Amanita's portfolio and the title looks just gorgeous, giving us some serious Machinarium vibes. Designer Radim Jurdy and the ;Hidden Orchestra music group will surely deliver the artistic thrills mixed with some horror motives. We won't have to wait too long to play it as Creaks will launch sometime next year.

Creaks is heading to PC and unspecified consoles. Sadly, Amanita haven’t revealed much beyond the weird trailer and a mention that this isn’t a traditional point-and-click adventure. According to the studio, Creaks will give you a chance to meet your new neighbors, but it's unclear what the tagline actually means. Be sure to check out the brief (but simply gorgeous) teaser trailer down below:

Creaks is coming in 2019 to PC and unspecified consoles.
