Observer is a psychological horror game with cyberpunk elements developed by Bloober Team and published by Aspyr that came out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam in August of 2017.
The Poland based developer, Bloober Team, is also responsible for
Layers of Fear—that, as the name suggests, is also another horror game—which got critical praise upon release back in 2016; so this isn't the developer's first rodeo.
Their latest game,
Observer, will see players taking control of a Dan Lazarski, who is an observer, or the new front line of neural police, and they must hack the minds of insane people in the dark dystopia of 2084. In a world where people have have began using Virtual Reality, and drugs as a means to escape the real world. The main character of the story is voiced by none other than
Blade Runner actor Rutger Hauer.
Getting critical praise from gamers and critics alike,
Observer is a game that the developer describes as "designed to disturb you" and the latest announcement trailer for the Nintendo Switch is solid proof of that.
Take a look:
The year is 2084. You are Daniel Lazarski, an elite neural detective known as an Observer, whose purpose is to hack and invade suspects’ minds. To gather evidence, you must relive their darkest fears, and, finally, face your own.
