Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is a new, dark and twisted gameplay experience developed by FromSoftware launching early 2019 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam.
Sekiro will allow players enter the world of late 1500s Sengoku Japan - a brutal, bloody period of constant life-and-death conflict. As tensions rise, a compelling new story unfolds amongst the uncontrolled, spreading chaos.
Directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki,
Sekiro is a third-person, action-adventure game with RPG elements, similar to the
Dark Souls series. The single-player game puts players in the role of a hard-hearted warrior whose mission is to rescue his master, a young lord, and exact revenge on his arch nemesis.
Steve Young, Chief Revenue Officer at Activision also explained why the studio has decided to team-up with FromSoftware to publish the game in a recent interview with Business Wire. "
From Dark Souls to Bloodborne, FromSoftware has established a level of excellence that stands by itself in our industry, and we are incredibly honored to work with them in bringing Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice to fans worldwide," Young said.
According to FromSoftware, more details will be released in the next 12 months. Take a look:
In Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice you are the “one-armed wolf”, a disgraced and disfigured warrior rescued from the brink of death. Bound to protect a young lord who is the descendant of an ancient bloodline, you become the target of many vicious enemies, including the dangerous Ashina clan. When the young lord is captured, nothing will stop you on a perilous quest to regain your honor, not even death itself.
