E3 2021 Confirms Its Online-Only Format; Dates Announced

The biggest and notorious video game conference has announced its 2021 dates. E3 will be an online-only event this year due to the Covid-19 virus. Here is more information on the event.

E3 2021 has announced its online-only format for 2021 along with the dates the event will take place on. the E3expo.com website has confirmed the event will run through June 12-15. This year's conference promises fans/viewers that the event is a reimagined and hyper-engaged digital experience. There are no details on what the event is planning on doing but we could get more information as we get closer to the date.

One of the pictures in the website shows a monitor and a phone with the E3 2021 background. Confirming that fans will be able to watch and be part of everything the conference has to offer. Major publisher showcases, live press conferences, extended live streams and special events. Registration opens Spring 2021; we do not have the exact date on when fans will be able to register.

The basic idea behing the broadcast will work like the following: dedicated time blocks for major partner announcements, diverse host and creator talent, multiple broadcast distribution partners, leading endemic and non-endemic media. Basically, presentations and host talk in between.

The custom E3 app will be available for both mobile and desktop with "tiered" access for media, industry and fans. The app will include dedicated partner hubs, gamified profiles, B2B matchmaking, chat, scheduling and more. Stay tuned to the E3 Twitter account to know when registration opens!
