French developer studio Spiders has just announced their upcoming role-playing title in the form of GreedFall, currently being developed for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game still has no release date but is expected to be available this 2018.

GreedFall is set in a 17th century setting embedded with magic and has a unique art style inspired by European Baroque, which definitely pops in this announcement trailer for the game. In GreedFall, settlers, mercenaries, and hunters have fled from a continent with an incurable disease, and full of pollution as they land on an island that reeks with magic and lost secrets—as well as treasures.

The game has also got RPG elements that will see characters interacting with each other, building a compelling world for players to explore, go on quests, engage in combat, stealth missions—or go the other route and face their problems with diplomacy...or deception.

A grand journey filled with mystery follows, as you find yourself in the middle of ever-increasing tensions between the invading settlers and the locals, who are protected by manifestations of the island’s earthly magic in the form of supernatural beings.

GreedFall will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC this 2018.
