Nintendo's E3 presentation—the Nintendo Direct—opened with a game that nobody was expecting as it wasn't a Nintendo IP or anything anyone had ever seen before, and it came in the form of Daemon X Machina. Fans began comparing this new game to
Armored Core and
Xenoblade Chronicles X. And who is to blame them since Daemon X Machina is pretty much a spiritual successor to Armored Core, a game that also features intense mech battles. Not only that but the mech designs are actually done by Shoji Kawamori, who's also designed the mechs in
Macross.
Daemon X Machina will bring back most of the elements that made the
Armored Core series so memorable like the combat system that seems as good as ever, being able to fully customise the mech you're piloting—as well as introducing some new elements like having a human avatar who players can customise.
This new video for the game—borrowed from the Treehouse Live at the E3—shows off some of the in-game character customisation, mech sutomisation, the hangar where players will be able to meet with their friends and go on multiplayer missions, and the game's tutorial mission.
