E3: YOSHI For The Nintendo Switch Wasn't Showcased This Year Because It Was Delayed

There is a very good reason behind Yoshi—for the Nintendo Switch—not being shown in any form during this year's E3 and that is simply because it was delayed.

One of the games that Nintendo showed last year was a brand new Yoshi title for the Nintendo Switch. The game was even treated like top tier by them—having its own demo and showing off some gameplay  for the game.

Now it has been confirmed that Nintendo is delaying Yoshi,as reported by Polygon.According to the source, Reggie Fils-Aimé(Nintendo of America CEO) has officially confirmed that the Nintendo Switch Yoshi game will no longer be released in 2018 as planned and will be pushed back all the way to 2019.

The news isn't even that unexpected given that the game didn't even have an official name and was simply titled Yoshi—like the main character of the game. What's curious is that the game was showcased during the 2017 E3 while Kirby: Star Allies was not even shown at all, and Kirby Star: Allies did meet its release date and has been out for a couple of months now.

Whatever the case, it's probably better this way given that Yoshi for the Nintendo Switch looked incredibly dull, uninspired and definitely not finished compared previous titles in the franchise. But there is a silverlining aht that is— like Mr. Miyamoto himself said—that "a delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad".

Yoshi heads on a new adventure in this new action platforming game coming to Nintendo Switch. Explore a great big world decorated like a miniature diorama, look for items throughout the stages and team up with a friend in a new art style for the franchise.

Yoshi for the Nintendo Switch has no official release date but is expected to release in 2019.
