Yesterday, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced they will not be hosting its annual E3 conference next year, breaking the show's 24-year tradition and hearts of many players. While some members of the PlayStation community still can't understand why the company is skipping the show, there is at least one publisher that will try to use this extra opportunity to "win" the show with ease - Microsoft.
"We can't wait to see you all at @E3 2019," Microsoft wrote on Xbox's Twitter page minutes after the news broke. That's not all, as Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has decided to poke fun at Sony's controversial marketing strategy and announced that Microsoft has "a lot to share with fans at E3 2019. Always a high point of the year to witness the industry’s creativity and the energy of the community."
Reggie Fils-Aime, beloved Nintendo of America President and COO has also decided to jump on the E3 2019 bandwagon and explained that “E3 is an outstanding opportunity for us to share new games and experiences with fans and business partners from across the globe."
According to ESA (the Entertainment Software Association, main organizer of the expo), the aforementioned Microsoft/Xbox, Nintendo of America, Activision, Bethesda Softworks, Capcom, Epic Games, Konami Digital Entertainment, Square Enix, Take-Two Interactive Software, Ubisoft, and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have already confirmed their presence during next year's E3.
