After Activision and Toys for Bob announced that Spyro the Dragon was getting a remaster trilogy, in the same vein of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, fans of the friendly dragon wondered why the game was not announced for the Nintendo Switch; especially considering that the N. Sane Trilogy did release for Nintendo's handheld hybrid console.

Earlier in February of this year, a GameStop Germany listing somewhat confirmed that Spyro: Reignited Trilogy going to be making its way into the Nintendo Switch — although neither Activision nor Toys for Bob confirmed these claims. Nevertheless, it was enough to get fans of Spyro excited for the news.

Today, after months of having absolutely no news from Activision about this alleged port for the Nintendo Switch, we got an official trailer that revealed that Spyro: Reignited Trilogy will be finally releasing for the Switch on the 3rd of September; allowing players to take these remastered timeless classics on-the-go.

Check it out:
