A few days ago Bandai Namco announced that they were adding
Party Battle Mode and
FighterZ Cup as limited-time events for
Dragon Ball FighterZ. Now that
Party Battle is over, it's time for
FighterZ Cup to shine as new details have been revealed by Bandai Namco Game Producer Tomoko Hiroki.
As Hiroki mentions, players need to join a Union in order to participate in
FighterZ Cup, as these will be fighting against each other. Unlike
Party Battle Mode, the
FighterZ Cup event will last for a whole week
starting today.
During the first 6 days of the Cup, Unions will be fighting in league matches ranked Z1, Z2, and Z3, being Z1 the top of the pyramid. These league matches will award Unions
League Points depending on how they do during the event. The better the Union does, the mhigher they will be able to climb the league ladder. Results will be announced on the 7th day of the Cup and awards will be granted to each Union, as well as individually.
Since this is the first event, Unions are expected to do a series of placement matches to qualify and enter the league rank so all leagues will have to test themselves against each other.
