In 2018, Dragon Ball Xenoverse series producer Aya Hirano revealed that they were not done supporting Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, and tht even more content would be released for the popular fighting game in the coming months. What never saw coming, however, was just how long the developers would be supporting this game.
It is August of 2020, almost two and a half years after Hirano's statement, and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has been getting a fair amount of updates that keep adding exciting new content to the game. As a matter of fact, a brand-new update is about to roll out next week, and there's a lot for players to get excited over.
Bandai Namco and developer Dimps announced in May of this year that Chronoa, the Supreme Kai of Time, would be joining the game's roster as part of the game's 11th update, and today Bandai Namco has officially confirmed that this new fighter will be releasing on Wednesday the 26th of August.
As if that wasn't enough, Bandai Namco also reveals that one extra mission is being added, as well as 9 new fighting techniques to keep things interesting for players, 15 new mascots, 10 companion character models, 3 extra attack missions, and a grand total of 20 new hero colloseum figurines.
Bandai Namco and Dimps also have some important news, as they have revealed that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has already managed to sell over a staggering 6 million copies since its original launch in October of 2016; sales that probably got a boost thanks to the game's somewhat recent release on Google Stadia.
Ahead of next week's release, Bandai Namco has releasedd an action-packed trailer that shows off the Supreme Kai of Time in action, so be sure to check it out down below, and let us know what you thought in the usual place.
