Bandai Namco will be offering players a free-to-play version of the popular fighting/role-playing Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 game, which will become available in Japan for the PlayStation 4 next week.

According to the latest issue of Monthly V-Jump, Bandai Namco and Dimps will be releasing Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Lite on the 20th of March.

This is not the complete version of the game, however, as it only includes the beginning of the story, and some other modes like the recently added Photo Mode, Parallel Quests unrelated to the story, My Raid Mode, the Hero Colosseum mini game, and access to online battles. It is also worth mentioning that all of the progress from the Lite version can be transferred to the full game.

No information on whether the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, or PC versions will be getting Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Lite, or whether the game will also be made available outside of Japan, so we will have to wait for more information on this.
