In
Mortal Kombat X’s post-launch phase, NetherRealm Studios decided to focus on beloved fictional characters from classic horror movies, including Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Predator & his best friend Xenomorph, and even Leatherface. The acclaimed Chicago-based studio also gave you a chance to play as
MK’s Goro, Tremor, Kenshi Takahashi , Rain, Triborg, Shao Kahn, Skarlet, and Tanya via DLC.
It looks like NetherRealm is already thinking about the future of
Mortal Kombat 11, as the game's recently updated Steam page reveals that at least six new playable characters will be added to
MK11 following its release. With
The Mortal Kombat 11 Premium Edition, you will get those mysterious fighters, one week early access to the DLC characters, seven new skins, and also seven sets of gear.
There's a chance that the identity of at last one of those additional fighters has been revealed, as artist Todd McFarlane (who also co-created
Spider-Man villain
Venom), believes that his most recognizable creation,
Spawn, might be on his way to join the
Mortal Kombat 11 roster. Whether or not the anti-hero will actually be in
MKXI or is it just wishful thinking on McFarlane’s part remains to be seen.
Take a look:
