Ever since NetherRealm Studios announced the all-new Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath a couple of weeks ago, the developers have been releasing new information about the upcoming expansion — which is actually becoming available next Tuesday the 26th of May.
Mortal Kombat series veteran fighters Sheeva and Fujin were revealed as part of the Aftermath expansion, but the most surprising addition to the roster is RoboCop from Paul Verhoeven's critically acclaimed RoboCop film.
NetherRealm Studios also revealed that Stage Fatalities were also making a comeback, although fans were actually more excited to find out that Friendships(Friendships?) were also making their long-awaited return to the series — all of which are being added to Mortal Kombat 11 for all players, by the way —even when we barely got a chance to see them in the announcement trailer.
Today the developers have shared a hilarious video — and the most family friendly trailer for a Mortal Kombat game to date — that highlights some of the soon-to-be-added Friendships, so prepare yourself to see all kinds of wacky finishers that will definitely help you start your day with a smile.
Interestingly enough, some Friendships have been inspired by other media, and such is the case of Raiden's Friendship, which has drawn inspiration from Ukranian LED group Light Balance's "Lights Out! Neon On! Mortal Kombat" video; this, and more, to Smash Mouth's "Why Can't We be Friends" song. Simply wonderful.
