NetherRealm Studios'
Mortal Kombat 11 was finally released yesterday for pretty much every video gamin platform, bringing back all of the gory fights that fans of the Mortal Kombat series have come to expect from every new entry.
What fans of the series weren't too excited to find out, however, was that the game's reward system required them to spend some serious time grinding to earn rewards such as skins, new Fatalities, and other valuable items; almost forcing players to spend real money on microtransactions when playing the Towers of Time and The Krypt modes.
Thankfully, NetherRealm Studios listened to the fans and revealed, during a
Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Kast stream today, that they will be making some tweaks to the game — without the need to release a patch or an update — in order to make the appropriate changes to the game's reward system; so that players can get some in-game currency instead of having to spend real money to get these items.
NetherRealm Studios didn't reveal exactly when these changes will come into effect, but it is nice to know that they are listening and willing to fix anything that could stunt the players' desires to play the game.
The all new Custom Character Variations give you unprecedented control to customize the fighters and make them your own. The new graphics engine showcasing every skull-shattering, eye-popping moment, brings you so close to the fight you can feel it. And featuring a roster of new and returning Klassic Fighters, Mortal Kombat’s best in class cinematic story mode continues the epic saga over 25 years in the making.
Mortal Kombat 11 is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.
