Rumours suggested that Rain, Mileena, and Rambo — that's right, John Rambo from the First Blood series of movies — were going to join the Mortal Kombat 11 roster at some point. This information was revealed by dataminers who found the aforementioned characters' names within the game's code.
Developers usually come up with fake names in order to prevent dataminers from finding and leaking information like this, so it was still considered to be nothing but a rumour — which is one of the main reasons fans were excited to see NetherRealm Studios actually confirming that Rain, Mileena, and Rambo were, indeed, more than just a rumour.
While players have been begging for Mortal Kombat series Co-Creator Ed Boon to add Mileena, Rambo is the character that players least expected to actually see in Mortal Kombat 11; this coming from the same fans that can now play as both the Terminator and Robocop in the game.
Rain, Mileena, and Rambo will be added to Mortal Kombat 11 as part of the Kombat Pack 2, and they will also be included in Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate, which is the definitive version of the game. Pre-orders have been open since last week, but the characters, as well as the ultimate version of Mortal Kombat 11, are expected to release on Tuesday the 17th of November.
Today NetherRealm Studios has released a new gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 11, which focuses entirely on John Rambo; giving us a look at some of his alternate outfits(one of which from First Blood), his movie-accurate moves, and one of his gruesome fatalities.
