New video showcases Shang Tsung and his draining techniques that he uses to defeat his enemies in the name of Shao Kahn

Earlier this week Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios gave viewers a glimpse into Shang Tsung's character and how he pledged his life to Shao Kahn and ended up host of the last nine Mortal Kombat tournaments with the release of a Shang Tsung vignette. They've followed it up with a new gameplay video featuring Shang Tsung and his draining techniques that he uses to defeat his enemies in the name of Shao Kahn.

Mortal Kombat is the most brutal installment of the legendary fighting game to date for release April 19 on the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. The game is being developed by NetherRealm Studios, led by Mortal Kombat creator and creative director Ed Boon.
