Earlier today came reports that Ludi Lin was in talks to play Liu Kang in Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema's upcoming Mortal Kombat movie. Now an absolutely plethora of characters and actors have been confirmed as involved with the project — as per a recent report by The Hollywood Reporter.

Lin is best known for playing the Black Ranger in 2017's Power Rangers and, as mentioned above, he will play the character of Liu Kang. Tadanobu Asano is best known for playing the character of Hogun in the Thor movies and he will be playing the iconic character of Raiden.

Mehcad Brooks is most well-known for playing James Olsen on the Supergirl TV show and he'll play the role of Jax. Lastly, a newcomer by the name of Sisi Stringer is a part of the mix. Based on her IMDB page, playing the character of Mileena will be her first acting gig.

So, that's four more characters and actors who will feature in the Mortal Kombat movie. We already knew that Joe Taslim, who is best known for featuring in The Raid, will play the role of Sub-Zero. Though the film's writer recently explained that the roster of characters won't be too expansive; the will probably be more character and casting announcements to come.

The live-action Mortal Kombat movie is set release on March 5th, 2021.
