NetherRealm Studios has been silent since to release of Injustice 2 back in 2017. While many fans of the Mortal Kombat series have been asking the Chicago-based studio to finally reveal what's coming next after the critically acclaimed Mortal Kombat X, NetherRealm play their cards close to their chest. It looks like Mexican voice actor José Garza Escudero (or just "Lolo" Garza) has ruined the surprise.

In today's Tweet, Garza accidentally spoiled Mortal Kombat XI's existence. "Well, I can finally confirm that the "professionals" at @PINKNOISEloc decided to take away my #MortalKombatXI characters. How sad is it that a company I loved so much ended up making decisions that affect you, the consumers, so much". Pink Noise Studios is a Latin game localization company responsible for the Spanish translations of many famous games, including Spider-Man, God of War, and The Order 1886.

The Tweet suggests that Pink Noise Studios has decided to replace Garza, as the voice actor seemingly won't return to voice Kung Lao and Reptile in Mortal Kombat XI. Considering that Geoff Keighley recently announced that The Game Awards 2018 will feature many yet unannounced projects, there's a chance Warner Bros. Interactive will officially unveil a Mortal Kombat X successor during the show.
