SoulCalibur VI definitely is a major win for the Bandai Namco development team, as their latest title is one of the best-reviewed fighting games of the last decade. Currently sitting at a highly impressive 84% MetaScore (based on 73 reviews), this new entry in the
SoulCalibur series is edging out their own
Tekken 7 (82%), WB.'s
Mortal Kombat X, not to mention Capcom's
divisive
Street Fighter V (77%).
Considering that
SoulCalibur VI seems like a spectacular returned to form after the previous game's shortcomings, it shouldn't be surprising that Bandai Namco has shared an accolades trailer for the acclaimed video game that highlights some of the many raving reviews received by Project Soul in the last couple of weeks. As a reminder,
SCVI launched worldwide on October 19, 2018 for PS4, XO, and PC.
The aforementioned trailer also gives us a chance to take yet another look at Bandai Namco’s version of Geralt of Rivia, the main hero known from CD Projekt Red's
The Witcher series and Andrzej Sapkowski's novels, who's a guest fighter in
SoulCalibur VI, just like
Assassin's Creed II's Ezio was in
SCV. Bandai put a lot of effort into making his appearance more than just a brief cameo, even building an all-new new map - Kaer Morhen. Be sure to take a look at
SoulCalibur VI 's accolades trailer below:
