It had been a while since Bandai Namco revealed any significnt news about SoulCalibur VI, so it was a nice change of pace seeing the developer finally revealing Setsuka to be the third character part of the game's Season 2 to join the roster.
SoulCalibur VI's Season 2 was first announced in November of last year, and Bandai Namco revealed that four fighters would be eventually revealed and join as playable characters; with Hildegard "Hilde" von Krone releasing a week after the announcement.
Season 2 was also revealed to bring Haohmaru, from SNK's popular Samurai Shodown series of sword-fighting titles, as the first crossover character. It wasn't until March of this year, however, that Haohmaru would finally become available; the other two characters remained a mystery.
Over the weekend, Bandai Namco released an action-packed gameplay trailer that gave us our first look at Setsuka, but also revealed that more content is being added via a free update — including the Character Creation Set E, which is now featuring characters from the Tekken series.
The good news don't stop there, as Bandai Namco has also confirmed that Setsuka and the free 2.20 update will become available in SoulCalibur VI tomorrow Tuesday 4th of August for players to purchase/download.
