Taki debuted in the very first chapter of the
Soul saga (no, I'm not talking about From Software's series),
Soul Edge, in Deecember 1995. The game was a commercial and critical success and was followed up with SoulCalibur in July 1998 and the spandex-clad ninja as appeared in all of the main
SoulCalibur games to date, with the exception of
SoulCalibur V, which featured her student Natsu.
An intense reveal trailer for Taki was leaked yesterday on Bandai Namco’s Nico channel and the video was quickly taken down giving the community an opportunity to record the character trailer.
SoulCalibur VI's version of Taki looks very familiar, she's still using her Rekki-Maru and the legendary ninjatō, Mekki-Maru and is wearing her signature demon armor and bright, tight red suit.
So far, Bandai Namco has confirmed only 11 characters for the game’s roster with returning fighters Siegfried, Ivy, Nightmare, Zasalamel, Sophitia, Mitsurugi, Xianghua and Kilik, as well as newcomer Grøh and guest character Geralt of Rivia from CD Projekt Red's
The Witcher series. Be sure to check out if the hunter of darkness still remembers her moves in the leaked character trailer down below:
SOULCALIBUR VI represents the latest entry in the premier weapons-based, head-to-head fighting series and continues the epic struggle of warriors searching for the legendary Soul Swords. Taking place in the 16th century, revisit the events of the original SOULCALIBUR to uncover hidden truths.
SoulCalibur VI is set to launch worldwide in 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
