A lot of people remember how excited they were when Capcom announced
Street Fighter V and how disappointing its eventual release was; featuring a disappointing line up of playable characters and overall lack of content. Now? Things are a lot better now, for sure.
In November of this year, Capcom announced that the third revision for the game, called
Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, was being currently developed and that it was scheduled to release on the
14th of February in 2020; a revision that is supposed to be — at least, for now — the definitive version of the game.
One of the biggest surprises of the announcement, however, was that Capcom also revealed
Street Fighter III's Gill to be joining the roster of
Street Fighter V: Champion Edition; a character that was last seen when
Street Fighter II: Third Strike was released 20 years ago.
Since many newcomers to the
Street Fighter series may not be familiar with Gill, and also for those who want to know more about the character and his new abilities, Capcom has released a lengthy character introduction trailer that tells players everything they need to know about this villainous character.
It is worth mentioning that Gill will become available before
Street Fighter V: Champion Edition launches in February, but Capcom has yet to give us an official release date for the character. We do know, however, that Gill will become available at some point in December.
