Last week NetherRealm Studios surprised us all by announcing Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath — which expands on the base game's campaign, while also adding Friendhips, new costumes, stages, and three new characters: Sheeva, Fujin, and none other than RoboCop.
The announcement trailer gave fans of the Mortal Kombat series a taste of what was coming with the Aftermath expansion, but they still wanted to know more, and series co-creator Ed boon promised that a gameplay trailer would be released this week — and boy, did he deliver.
As promised by the developer, a brand-new gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath was just released — giving us our first look at Sheeva, Fujin, and RoboCop in action. The trailer also shows off some of the new costumes for existing characters, as well as alternate costumes for the newcomers and their respective Fatalities.
We somewhat knew what to expect from Sheeva and Fujin, and they do look great in action; their alternate suits are callback to previous iterations of the characters. This gameplay trailer, however, is all about RoboCop — who singlehandedly makes the Aftermath expansion worth your money.
Not only is RoboCop's look inspired by Paul Verhoeven's RoboCop movie, but his moveset is also referencing the iconic film. In fact, RoboCop uses the Cobra Assault Cannon and is joined by ED-209 in one of his Fatalities. Don't take my word for it, and be sure to check out the awesome gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath down below!
