EA and DICE are REALLY excited about the new battlelog feature for Battlefield 3. The new battlelog will not only allow you to keep track of stats, but you'll be able to chat with your friends, as well as form platoons. You'll even be able to filter the leaderboards to only show your friends.

PC users will gain additional benefits, including the ability to use Battlelog to jump into any game that one of your friends is currently playing, making playing with friends (and finding friends) easier.

A new Battlefield 3 video was released yesterday offering an in-depth look at the features and functionality of the free social platform Battlelog.
