Following this week's release of Battlefield V, EA is ready to unveil some post-launch content that fans can look forward to in the coming weeks. In a weekly debrief over on the Battlefield subreddit, Global Community Manager Dan Mitre confirmed that there will be a blog post sometime this week dedicated to the first chapter in Battlefield V's Tides of War.

"We’re starting to hype up the upcoming release of Tides of War Chapter 1: Overture. Stay tuned as we roll out news and information," Mitre teased. He also said a blog will be posted detailing "the various Airlifts you get with Deluxe Edition."

Tides of War has been marketed as a live service for Battlefield V that will "evolve and expand the battlefield." New chapters will be released every couple of months featuring a new narrative that focuses on a specific aspect of that era along with "unique gameplay experiences to drive players forward." This will come in the form of new single-player War Stories, additional maps and weapons, and more.

EA shared some brief details about Tides of War's first chapter, titled Overture, which is slated to arrive in early December or January at the latest.

Chapter 1: Overture brings the Panzerstorm map, where the German mechanized war machine plunges into Belgium, smashing into Allied defensive forces. On this tank-focused arena, you’ll roll across ridges, ditches, and elevated roads with a massive force of armor, carving a path of destruction through the countryside.

Chapter 1: Overture will also add the initial iteration of Practice Range, Vehicle Customization options, and weekly events and rewards. We'll likely find out more specifics this week, including, hopefully, a more exact release date. Battlefield V is now available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
