With Battlefield 6's first trailer set to be revealed on July 24th, fans are buzzing with anticipation and now, a new leak claims the full release of the game could happen as soon as October 10th, 2025.

The Battlefield series has a long-standing tradition of launching in the fall, often in October or November, and Battlefield 6 seems poised to follow suit. According to known leaker group 1BF Telegram, a recent datamine from the Battlefield Labs test build includes a planned release date of October 10th.

Additionally, the datamine hints at a Phantom Edition of the game, though no further details were shared on how it differs from the standard version.

Yesterday we wrote a piece about how the hype for Battlefield 6 continues to build ahead of the July 24th reveal trailer, which already has thousands of fans waiting in the YouTube premiere lobby. If you want more details about that and the trailer, feel free to read it here.

If you're not in the Battlefield Labs playtest, you might not have to wait long rumors from the EA App suggest the open beta will begin August 4th. We wrote about this earlier, if you would like to read the full details read here. Otherwise here is a few key parts about the open beta that aligns with community expectations as well as what was revealed in EA’s recent statement of what the beta will include:

  • Class-specific weapon restrictions (a return to classic Battlefield mechanics)
  • Additional playlists for free-form weapon use

The quick beta turnaround time has led fans to believe the final game won’t be far behind, further fueling the October 10 speculation.

Further supporting the leak, it’s been revealed that media and content creators have been invited to try out Battlefield 6 between July 29th-31st. The showcase event is rumored to follow the style of CoD Next, featuring:

  • Gameplay reveals
  • Developer interviews
  • Additional content and announcements

There’s strong speculation that the official release date will be revealed during this event, shortly after the trailer debut later this week on July 24h.

With an open beta rumored for early August and preview events scheduled before the end of the month, Battlefield 6 is shaping up for a full-scale campaign this fall. If the October 10th release date leak holds true, fans won’t have to wait much longer to jump into the battlefield. Stay tuned for more updates, as July 24th could be the start of EA’s biggest FPS comeback in years.
