Gearbox Software has confirmed that it’s another company that will attend E3 2018. You've probably heard about Gearbox and its CEO Randy Pitchford as they created a plenty of interesting titles, including six DLC in the Half-Life series, three Brothers in Arms games, two Borderlands, Battleborn and two terrible things everybody wish to forget about, Duke Nukem: Forever and Aliens: Colonial Marines.
The studio's last game, Battlebornlaunched two years ago and it looks like Gearbox is finally ready to talk about their future plans. The company has published a short summary of what they have been up to recently and it looks like the developers are working hard on big reveals that will happen at E3 2018.
"April was a crazy month for me and probably every other PR person in the games industry. “Why”, you ask? Well that’s because E3 is just a few months away, and discussions on what to reveal, who to reveal it with and when we want to reveal it have already begun! These discussions all start with the first major moment for E3, which actually happens about a month earlier at the Game Critics Awards," said PR Manager Austin Malcolm in a short note to fans.
But what will Gerabox announce during the next month's event? The most obvious answer is Borderlands 3 as Pitchford confirmed that the game exist at Pax East 2016. Another likely option is the new chapter of the Duke Nukem series as Michael Bay's production company Platinum Dunes is making a movie based on Nuke and Pitchford said in September that he believes the "true answer" for the next Duke game is that "there has to be something from a design point of view first."
And of course, there's the third option, the return of Brothers in Arms. The CEO has confirmed that the next chapter is actively in development at Gearbox and "it's authentic, its got Sgt. Baker, it's the Brother in Arms game we want to make and we're doing it under our publishing label." It's time to finally forget about Brothers in Arms' controversial and cancelled spin-off Furious 4 which was apparently Ubisoft's idea as the next BiA will be released by Gearbox.
